The Unitarian Society of New Haven is located in Hamden, Connecticut, just north of New Haven in the shadow of scenic East Rock. For those of you who attended previous Nutmeg Dulcimer Festivals, it's just two or three minutes drive away from the former location.

From I-95, North or South

Take exit #48 onto I-91 and then do the following....

From I-91, North or South

Take exit #10 onto Route 40. Take exit #1 (State St./Dixwell Avenue). At foot of ramp, turn left. At traffic light, turn left onto Hartford Turnpike. Drive two miles. USNH will be on your right.

From Merritt Parkway / Wilbur Cross Parkway Northbound (Route 15)

Take exit #62. At end of ramp, turn left onto Dixwell Avenue. Drive 1/2 mile to second traffic light. Turn right onto Hartford Turnpike. Drive two miles. USNH will be on your right.

From Wilbur Cross Parkway Southbound (Route 15)

Take exit #63. At end of ramp, turn left onto Hartford Turnpike and drive three miles. USNH will be on your right.

Take exit 61 and turn South on Whitney Ave
(That's Right if you were going South, Left if you were going North)
At 0.6 mi, turn left onto Skiff St
At 0.8 mi, turn Right onto Hartford Turnpike (there is a light)
The Unitarian Society is on the Right at 0.7 mi.

Easy to reach from I-95, I-91,  Wilbur Cross Parkway (a.k.a. Hutchinson River Parkway and  Merritt Parkway), or the Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Ferry from Long Island!  

Camping

Several Connecticut State Parks are within an hour. Kettletown and Hammonasset are the nearest, roughly half an hour away. Black Rock and Lake Waramoug would each be closer to an hour.  At least one couple stayed last year at Hammonasset and enjoyed it. http://dep.state.ct.us/stateparks/camping/  is the State website for further information and reservations.
